Akpororo Reveals How He And His Beautiful Wife Got Married

Talented Nigerian comedian Akpororo, has revealed that he didn’t date his beautiful wife, Josephine, who he walked down the aisle with in 2015.

According to the ace comedian, he knew his wife since she was part of a dance group and shortly after they began to exchange pleasantries, they got married.

In his chat with Saturday Beats, Akpororo admitted that Nigerian comedians seemed to always go for beautiful women, although he clarified it was just a coincidence.

He said:

“I did not date my wife. We are in the same industry and she was with Explicit Dance Group. We had met on some occasions and greeted each other. We never had any period to date; I would say we started dating after we got married. Although I am a comedian, when I approached her, she took my words seriously because whenever I am serious you would easily know.

“I was already popular as of the time I got married to my wife. Some people say that once you get married, your tempo or output in the industry would drop but I do not believe that because whatever you believe would happen to your career is what would happen to it. I changed the belief that you need to date someone for a long period before you get married,” he said.

“We work hard and we see beautiful ladies every day so it is only natural to marry a beautiful woman. It is just a coincidence that comedians have beautiful wives, but the truth is that we all love pretty women. When we talk about beauty, it does not have to do with the face alone but character, being hard-working, and a prayer warrior. We just love beautiful women.”

How 9 people Died in Ekiti Road crash

No fewer than 9 people died in an early morning road crash in Awo community in Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA of Ekiti State.

The bus conveying ten passengers was said to have rammed into a truck travelling in the same direction.

A resident of Awo community told Bounce News , that the 18-seater bus collided with the planks laden-truck said to be moving ahead and lost control in the process.

The affected passengers were said to have died on the spot as they were mangled in the crushed bus, while one person survived the fatal accident.

The only survivor of the crash which occurred in front of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Igede – Awo road was said to have been rushed to hospital.

The bus, with registration number EKY 978 XJ, according to the source was believed to be travelling from Lagos, while the destination of the trailer attached to a DAF truck with registration number XB 404 FKA was not immediately known.

Ekiti road accident

Confirming the incident, the Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mohammed Olowo, said the possible cause of the accident was disregard for speed limits.

Olowo revealed that the accident occurred at about 6:15am, 18 people were involved.

He added that the bodies of the dead had been deposited at the mortuary of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti was also receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Mushin Community Rakes Over EKEDC 'Crazy' Billing

Residents of Papa-Ajao community in the Mushin area of Lagos State have lamented being charged for the electricity they did not consume and have jointly resolved to sustain their present campaign of no prepaid meter, no payment of electricity bills.

The affected streets: Yusuf, Oloje, Osoro, Adio Shomade, Shotinoye, Oloruntoyin, Daramola, Odusina and Olapeju streets have petitioned Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) over the distribution of outrageous estimated bill while mobilizing for residents to return the already distributed bills to community leaders to be returned to the Mushin business unit of the firm.

According to a resident simply identified as Jude, every 6th or 7th of every month is a nightmare for residents. "Anytime I remember about electricity bill, my heart is troubled as if I am in deep debt. The trauma is just too much. People will be served bills of N30,000, N45,000 when they are not operating a factory, a situation that has made electricity bill higher than the house rent itself. To make matters worse, the community was disconnected during the Sallah holidays without notice," he lamented.

Secretary of the Papa Ajao Togetherness Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Oyenekan Gbolagade, told The Guardian the problem started in October 2016 when residents were mobilized to stop paying estimated bills. They were disconnected for three weeks. EKEDC then promised to rectify the crazy billing only if we pay a certain percentage, which we agreed to.

"About 18 months after, they began to send us crazy bills again, which we all collated and returned to their office. They said we should go and pay first before our demand would be met, but because of our 2016 experience, we decided not to pay. And we were disconnected since August 19, 2018. We want our light restored and we want prepaid meters to end this regime of crazy bills."

When contacted, an official of the business unit in Mushin who pleaded for anonymity said the matter is being resolved and power has been restored. He, however, denied that the community was disconnected owning to the dispute on the bills but the blackout was due to a faulty feeder, which has been fixed.

Drake Rushed To Hospital After Collapsing On Stage, Writes To Fans Over What Happened

Rapper Drake a.k.a Champagepapi was rushed to the hospital after he broke down and collapsed on stage due to a mysterious illness, as he abruptly couldn’t perform, which led to the cancellation of the shows.

US-based Canadian rapper, Drake was rushed to the hospital after he reportedly collapsed on stage while rehearsing at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

The 31-year-old rapper suddenly felt ill and couldn’t perform, and had to cancel his upcoming live shows, claiming “I had never experienced anything like that in my life”.

Drake shared a shock message to fans on his Instagram stories explaining that the shows had to be cancelled and apologised to fans, whilst also sharing some details about the sudden illness which caused the cancellations.

Taking to Instagram, Drake’s statement read:-

‘I just wanted to say how sorry I am about these two Miami shows. I got so ill so fast and I had never experienced anything like that in my life.’

‘Unlike other show cancellations or date adjustments due to production issues this one fell on me and I just want to apologize because I hate letting down anyone who come to share these moments with us.’

Taking time to thank the medical staff who have helped look after him through his illness.

Drake said:-

‘Thank you to the two doctors and nurse that helped me with round the clock care.

‘Miami deserves 100 percent and I promise that experience when we return. Thank you god for allowing me to recover and continue. on we go!’

Reggae artiste Austin Peter, popularly known as King Wadada, has officially unveiled his new record label, Wadada World Class Entertainment, and has signed his first artiste, an Afro hip-hop singer and rapper, Zachariah Kelvin Lekan aka Blackelz.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony which held on Tuesday at Citadel De Continental Hotel & Suites, Ikeja, Lagos, King Wadada, said he intends to promote young musicians via the platform.

“The reason I am launching this platform is that many people have neglected the young talents in this country.

“This has pushed these talented ones especially the upcoming musicians astray, they now engage in all kind of fraudulent acts, prostitution and other illegal activities. Wadada World Class Entertainment aims to encourage and take talents off illegal things. That is why I am stepping out to start signing up this young, hardworking and determine act.”

King Wadada who won the 2010 Kora Awards as Africa’s best reggae artist of the year further said that though he has been down for a while but he is back and better.

“My fans home and abroad should expect a new album. I’m also coming out with a remix, ‘Holy Holy’ featuring Oritsefemi and a collaborating with 2baba in a song titled, ‘Ya Well’ (meaning God first in everything). Because the Bible says we have to go into the world and spread the gospel to all nation because Jesus Christ is going to be with us till the very end of ages that is why we go spiritual, so we have to pass the spiritual message to the president, governors, senators and other people in power for them to be spiritual and know the right thing to do at the right time and in the right way.”

The new signee, Blackelz, was excited at the signing.

Fans accuse Fella Makafui of wearing fake hips in latest photo

Fella herself shared this photo to her Instagram page with a caption suggesting that she was praising her looks and outfit.

Fella wrote: “Life is just beautiful as my skirt !!!.”

However, some of her fans who seem to see more than Fella’s skirt observed that one of her hips was bigger than the other.

An Instagram user by name Al Haftag 1, wrote that Fella’s hip pad was showing, indicating that Fella's wide hips were not natural, and that the pad had betrayed her.

He wrote: al_haftag1: “@fellamakafui your hip pad dey show. Nice skirt tho.”

However, she debunked the reports, saying that she is not the one in the video.

Fella has also been under fire on social media for what fans called poor dressing on her part.

She was also accused of dressing in “rags” to an event in Accra.
